This a dramatized version of life. Names, dates, and the pace of things have probably been changed. “I” in the blog is much more of a Bridget Jones character than “I” am, actually writing it.
This goes especially for expressions of strong emotion. If the emotions were really THAT strong I probably wouldn’t tell you about them.
